Sunday

We went to the equine centre today situated down the valley situated 15 min walk, despite it been down hill we could still feel the lack of oxygen. Every little effort becomes a strenuous work out! This centre uses horses as a therapy for disabled children. It is a non profit organisation totally funded by local family, charity and the work of volunteers. It was amazing to see how little Arancha ( 4 year old girl with Down's syndrome) felt so relaxed and comfortable on this horse's back. The bodies of severely disabled children just mould to the animals movement. It was truly amazing!

Not so impressive was my race on a horse between cones after not being on one for 25 years, more like a sack of potatoes.

Pat had a go too and made a great effort to interact with children who are not only have difficulties but speak another language too, if they could speak at all. He submerged in this different world for us easily and I think he enjoyed it too. We met the horse whisperer Felix, an amazing man who devotes all his free time to help this e children and had one moto: everything is possible!!!
